Try Your Hand . . . Author Taglines.

Okay! time for another attempt at "try your hand". This time we're talking about author taglines. Taglines are the one sentence lines that follow your name, that tell the world about you. You put them on your business cards, put them in your email signatures, and other things to let the world know you write this or that.

While I am good at short things, this one line thing really tried my patience and creativity. How am I supposed to describe ME in one line. I had a hard enough time with the short author bio. So after hours and hours, I found something that EVERYONE but me HATED. So I trashed that one and moved on.

Finally I came up with one that I love and others seemed to like too.

"Science Fiction, secret agents, and bad boys gone good."

What do you think?

What is your author tagline?

I am having so much fun making these homemade book marks, I will draw a random commenter and send them one!

Come on you know you want to. Tell us your tagline and win a cute velentines themed book mark!

P. S. Thanks to Rebecca Talley for the tagline inspiration!

I like yours. So far with mine it went something like "Breathing life into characters, one book at a time."

Wow. I'll have to think about this one for a bit. The shorter something is, the longer I take to pick it!

I like yours and I like Cheri's. :D Hmm... I am going to have to think about this one. I'm pretty good with a tagline, just not my own.

"One by one, the characters steal my sanity."

I love your tagline. I'm comin' up with nothin' for me. I'll have to give it some thought.

Hope you're feeling well, BTW.

What a fun idea. In my writing class last week we were trying to come up with worst first lines ever. Now to think of an author tagline. Hm I have only written a few pages so far so considering how long it took me to get those it might take me a week to come up with this. :)

Shari, I have more good days than bad. But it's just part of being pregnant. :)

Sounds like I started some thoughts to start churning, cool, that is what I wanted. Put your thinking xcaps on and get yourself an author tagline.

I've been wracking my brain, and simply can't come up with an author tagline. I guess I need to understand my brand a little better.

I DO have one for my book. No title, but a tagline:

A tale of leis, lies, love, and hard landings.
