I have had an apostrophe.....

Actually it was an epithany, but I like the play on words. I was talking to Karen as she droped me off today after the teen writers workshop. Both of us have had an awful week. Each having some serious problems and having resolved them. She said something about right before conference her life blows up. Right then the thought came to me clearly. That there is something important for my DH and I in the new area where we are moving. So important that the adversary has done his darndest to split us up, and nearly succeded. That is why we have struggled for months now and the feelings have gone from frustration to down right hate. But after hitting my knees and saying just one word "Help". We were able to talk and things although scarred by the events of the last few months look like they are going to be okay.

I wonder when, if ever, I will see this apostrophe come to fruition.

I so understand! Every time things are about to go good for us, the same thing happens - everything blows up. We just get ahead on our finances, and fourteen more bills pile on top. We got an apartment and movers lined up and the sale of the house fell through. If all else fails to bring us to despair, suddenly Hubs and I start having fights like crazy.

I'll tell ya, that old Scratch really knows what gets us! We've got to keep the faith, though.

Hang in there, we'll all make it through and when we get together next year, we'll laugh about these experiences.

Oh man, I do know what you are saying. My husband and I are the same way...mostly with finances. Everytime we finally begin to see the first sign of light at the end of the tunnel..boom! We owe more money to somebody or the car breaks down or the AC breaks - wait a minute. The AC did break, and we didn't have the money to fix it. :-(

I am glad that you two are able to work things out. Of course, everything does leaves scars, but the point of that is so that we can remember what happened before and hopefully learn from the past so that we are not hurt again in the same manner. Hmmmm...scars, learning from the past...I am going to have to use that...
